May is over. So how did I do relaxing and taking it easy all month? You know, like I promised myself I would after all the hard work of publishing my second book, Multidimensional?
turns out, not great.
I had envisioned myself couch rotting all month long and it was going to be awesome. But I did have to work at my day job. And I went out on a couple motorcycle rides with my man and with friends. And I did chores. And I got back in the gym. I made some book sales. I met up with friends for brunches and coffees and dinners. I attended a friend’s play and my mom’s choir concert. I went to a party. I recorded a podcast episode with a couple cool new friends (I’ll keep you posted when it comes out).
So it wasn’t the one long couch rot sesh that I was hoping for, but it was a damn good month. I’ve decided to rot more often in the next few months to make up for it. In all honesty though, I have a lot coming up in the next couple months too. So maybe I won’t be able to as much as I think I will.
Either way, it’s starting to almost look like summer here in Michigan, so naturally, these are my least hibernation-y months.
a few fun summer things coming up:
a book launch party (I spent some of my couch rotting time brainstorming and shopping for dresses online)
a party to celebrate my mom’s children’s book
a book signing at Trail’s Edge Café to show off Multidimensional
some other family and friend parties and get-togethers
a long weekend trip with my friends!
lots of time at the pool
lots of time on the bike
so what’s next?
Aside from summer fun, what projects am I taking on next? What am I writing next? Well I’ll let you know when I figure it out.
I’d be truly grateful to you for checking out my latest book of poetry and short stories. If you purchase it, I would really appreciate a rating and review on Amazon and Goodreads after you’ve finished it!

Love the honest update!! While you didn’t get to have the break you imagined this month it still sounds like you had some good moments and more fun things to look forward to. Excited to see what you come up with or do next!
