Formatting is done!*
*Basically.
As usual, there are a couple small changes I want to make before I make it official, aka the title text. I’m going to make my title on the title pages match the font from the cover, so when I get that font, I’ll make that change.
Other than that, formatting is complete! The process took two weeks of work.
what I did over those two weeks
I started with a template from Amazon KDP, which has the document at the ready with the correct margins and such for you. Then I copy and paste all my book content into its pages—standard procedure.
I inserted my copyright page, title pages, acknowledgements, and the rest of my front and back matter and played with the spacing until I was happy with the layout.
Now during this time, I was also scanning and doing background removal on the illustrations I did and added them to the pages I wanted.
