it’s 11:11 on 11/11...
and I am mere days from calling it and declaring the first draft of my poetry and short stories collection complete! I’ve hit the approximate page count I was aiming for and things are falling into place.
coming soon to paid subscribers!
My paid subscribers will be receiving a letter very soon with the specifics of how I’m mapping this book out. I’ll be sharing what my poem to story ratio is looking like, the general categories I’ve divided each entry into, the current page and word count, and how I’m deciding when I’m “done” with the collection. Plus anything else I can think of. If that inside look interests you, consider becoming a paid subscriber! And if you do choose to become one, you’ll also get access to all my previous paywalled letters, which means you’ll see how the book has progressed throughout the year.
Here’s a button to click to become a paid subscriber! How convenient!
editing, preparing, & publishing content incoming
I am already anticipating sending you a bunch of letters during the next phase of the book because there is a ton of work to do before publishing! You can expect upcoming letters to be about editing, choosing the order of the poems and stories, writing front and back matter, formatting, designing the cover, prepping the Amazon-related stuff, and more. If you have questions about the self-publishing process, be sure to ask in the comments so I can make a note to post about that topic! And, of course, some letters will be free, but the most detailed and in-depth information will be in the paid posts.
Paid subscribers will also hear the title first, see the cover first, and get the release date before anyone else! That’s a lot of fun stuff for seven bucks a month.
To anyone who becomes a paid subscriber, I am truly honored to have you come along on my writing journey with me! I appreciate you so much and I want to thank you for supporting me and my writing. Having people support (and hopefully be inspired by) my journey as an author is the dream. Thank you thank you thank you!
